Device-by-device uninstall instructions for Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. Covers every scenario — active subscription, expired plan, and greyed-out uninstall buttons. Updated May 2026.
Removing Gamban is a two-part process: first, your subscription must be cancelled or expired; second, you manually uninstall the app from each device. This guide focuses on the second part — the actual removal steps for every operating system — with a separate section on troubleshooting when the uninstall button is locked.
Gamban prevents removal while the subscription is running. Before following the steps below, you first need to either cancel your subscription through Gamban Support or wait for it to expire. See our How to Cancel Gamban guide for the full process, including the cooling-off period.
Gamban installs as a standard Windows application combined with system-level network filtering. You need to remove both.
If the Uninstall button is greyed out: this means Gamban's support team has not yet authorised your removal, or your subscription is still active. Complete the cancellation process first, then return to these steps.
On macOS, Gamban may install a kernel extension or network extension in addition to the main application. Remove both components.
Android requires an extra step if Gamban has been granted Device Administrator privileges — this is common and is why the standard uninstall is blocked.
Also check your Wi-Fi and mobile data settings to ensure no Gamban VPN profile remains active. Go to Settings > Connections > VPN and remove any Gamban entry.
On iPhone and iPad, Gamban works via a system profile that installs a VPN or content filter — not just a regular app. You must remove the profile as well as the app.
Note: If you also have a Gamban VPN configured separately, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN and remove any Gamban entry there too.

No. Gamban does not have a pause, disable, or off switch while the subscription is active. This is intentional — a self-exclusion tool that can be temporarily turned off provides very little protection.
The only way to stop Gamban from blocking sites is to either cancel your subscription and complete the removal process, or wait for the subscription to expire and not renew. There is no in-app setting to turn it off temporarily.
The most common reasons Gamban cannot be uninstalled:
If none of the above resolves the issue, contact Gamban Support directly at support@gamban.com — they can provide device-specific removal instructions and, in some cases, a remote removal tool.
Once Gamban is fully removed from all your devices, gambling websites will no longer be blocked. A few things to be aware of:
Only if your subscription has already expired. If the subscription is still active, Gamban blocks its own removal. You need to email support@gamban.com, go through the cooling-off period, and receive authorisation before the uninstall will work. See our full cancellation guide for details.
On Windows, this means Gamban has not been authorised for removal yet — contact support first. On Android, the uninstall is blocked because Gamban has Device Administrator privileges — revoke these first via Settings > Security > Device Admin Apps.
You can't. Gamban has no pause or disable feature while the subscription is active. The only option is full cancellation and removal. See our How to Cancel Gamban guide.
The uninstall itself takes a few minutes per device. The overall timeline from first contact with support to completed removal across all devices is typically 3–7 days, due to the cooling-off period and any assessment steps.
No. Deleting the app does not stop billing. Log in to your Gamban account at gamban.com and turn off auto-renewal to ensure you are not charged again.
